I am so impressed and happy with my experience at Optima! My doctor was thorough and wonderful. She listened and went above and beyond to schedule tests and give me referrals. The nurses and front office staff were friendly and accommodating and fast. They took their time talking to me and getting an idea of what I needed. And the phlebotomist was STELLAR! Absolutely wonderful. I am a “hard stick” and have a fear of needles and have gone three different times to different people to try to get my blood work done, to no avail. He was able to do it gently and on the first try. He was patient and cautious and did everything he could to make me comfortable and keep me calm! I’m ecstatic!

I started out in nursing as a LPN working at an urban hospital associated with the University of Tennessee in a major metropolitan area. Little did I know at the time that the foundation for my professional life was being established. I subsequently worked in suburban and rural hospitals in settings from well-baby nurseries to ICU to medical-surgical floors. Additionally, after gaining paralegal certification, I worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant in medical malpractice and pharmaceutical litigation. After graduation and board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have worked in Primary Care with an emphasis on providing holistic-oriented care for all patients.
