Dr. Lucas Schnell is a detail-oriented and diligent orthopedic surgeon and shoulder specialist serving the communities of Denver and Thornton, CO. Dr. Schnell attended the Kansas City University of Medicine, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Mary's Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in shoulder surgery at St. Francis Orthopaedic Institute in Columbus, GA.
Dr. Schnell is a part of Center for Spine and Orthopedics, where he sees patients for orthopedic consultations including shoulder, hand, wrist, and elbow problems, knee and hip problems, as well as other common and specialized reasons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Schnell received the Senior Clinical Science Research Award, the Good Citizen of the Year Award, and is an Eagle Scout. Outside of his practice, Dr. Schnell enjoys golf, snowboarding, biking, and camping, and spending time with family.
Dr. Schnell enjoys giving back to his community and has participated in many volunteer activities, including being a medical volunteer at multiple hospitals during his training, a medical research volunteer at the University of Colorado, and has volunteered with the International Medical Mission in the Dominican Republic.
