Dr. Velazquez in a friendly and quick manner diagnosed the problem and explained options. One new problem he treated right then and there and the pain left within 5 minutes and has not yet reoccurred. Thanks to Dr. Velazquez, I am closer to pain free tonight.

Compared to a Pain Clinic I absolutely love this Doctors care plan for me! He was straight to the point and honest! I feel as though he took my concerns a lot more serious as well! His goal is helping me have a better life span quality! He took all my concerns highly; which it felt amazing having a doctor finally listen to me for once! With his office you get to actually see the doctor not a NP or a Rn or LPN, and a MA, etc. Dr. Luis takes care of you each and everytime you go in which I love that! At a clinic you get someone else instead and not to mention; most clinics have people who don't even have a degree to where they can treat you but they are anyway! Dr. Luis has extraordinary bedside manners! Oh and at his office you can have you spouse, significant other, etc. Go back to the room with you at a clinic they are not allowed! I give this doc 5 stars across the board!

My philosophy is that I am much more than your pain doctor. My goal is that together, you and I push to improve every day to get you back to living the best years of your life.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at University of Miami, and then completed a Masters Degree in Biomedical Science at Barry University. The following year I began medical school at University of South Florida, and once complete, I elected to enter into an Anesthesiology residency at the University of Miami. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of anesthesiology and developed a great deal of pride in my practice.
Several years into my practice however, I became more intrigued with the emerging field of pain medicine, which I consider one of the most important, yet most poorly understood and mismanaged fields in medicine. I immediately moved to rededicate my life to the pursuit of excellence in treating pain. I accepted an ACGME-accredited interventional pain medicine position at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in California, and began to develop a deep understanding of the nature of chronic pain, which burdens us not only physically, but emotionally as well.

I had a procedure done for back injections. Doctor Velazquez comes in and is talking to his new P.A. about what he is doing and not even concerned about whether I'm ok. This was my second procedure here at his office and the first one went well but this time it seemed he didn't even numb the area and went in with the needle and hit the nerve. I'm sure he could tell I was in a lot of pain and agony as my leg was kicking and my expressions and moaning everyone could hear. After the procedure they wheel me in the recovery room and I thought the Dr. was going to check up on me to see how I was doing. Nope, a staff member came in and said I was ready to go. Time to find a Dr that really cares about his patients.

Dr. Velazquez is very knowledgeable and professional. He's polite, attentive gave me more than enough time to explain my medical history, answered all my questions and concerns.
Dr. Velazquez made a plan to help me manage my chronic pain due to the fact that I have rare syndromes, which cause a lot of pain. I'm very grateful to Dr. Velazquez for his professionalism, support and care. Most important he said he would do research and study my case. His staff are polite and helpful.
