She was patient, took time with me, and I really felt like she genuinely wanted the best for me!! She immediately started a plan of Acton with my ailing foot and for the first time in years I am very excited about the treatment I received and I am hopeful that my pain will be gone!!

With a lifetime passion for dancing, Dr. LaFontant has spent a lot of time on her feet. She understands the importance of taking care of your body’s most important asset; and that passion drove her to become a Podiatrist.
From a young age, Dr. LaFontant knew she wanted to be a doctor – but wasn’t sure what kind of practice. As she began performing with various dance companies, she noticed her fellow dancers facing the typical ailments that come along with such an athletic and strenuous sport. It was then that she understood her calling and embraced the opportunity to help those who had the same zest for life.
Dr. LaFontant encourages patients to visit at the first sign of foot pain, stressing that it is not something a person should have to live with day to day. Oftentimes, a simple shoe adjustment or a series of stretches can help to build the strength of the foot, preventing future injuries.
For other ailments and pain problems, Dr. LaFontant conservatively approaches her patients’ problems, allowing her to identify the problem and develop a plan that will lead to a successful recovery.
Dr. LaFontant is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she obtained a BS in Biology, Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York and completed her residency at White Memorial in Los Angeles.
