No appt needed - but worth the walk-in wait time. I never imagined a walk-in clinic (or any urgent care facility) could provide such care for the entire patient - not just the symptoms or ailment. I left my apt with just a sinus infection, but by the time I got to the Duane Reade, I was very nauseated, and probably dehydrated (I hadn't felt like eating or drinking before the appt because, well, sore throat!). She not only wrote me a scrip for the nausea, but insisted I take it before I leave and sit in the waiting area as long as I needed to feel well enough to head home. Not only that, she came out twice within the next hour and a half to make sure I was still doing okay. Very, very thoughtful doctor. I felt really well taken care of!!

Ok, so this doctor is great, but ZocDoc come on! This isn't a doctor's office, this is a walk-in clinic in a Duane Reade! I'm trying to find a regular GP! I felt so embarrassed calling the office about my appointment, they had no idea I even had one.

It was not the doctor but rather zocdoc. It states that this doctor takes Healthfirst. Upon arrival and being very very sick I was told he Duane Readeclinicsdo not take Healthfirst.

I have been living in NYC about 5 years now and she was the first Doc I have seen that i feel truly cared how i felt. She was sweet kind and even called me a week later to see how I was doing ( a first for me). I recommend her to anyone who needs to see a doc who treats them like family! Thanks Maggie!

Dr. Bertisch was attentive took the time to listen to my concerns and seemed very thoughtful and personable. The staff was friendly as well, though there was about a half hour wait. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and will probably come back here in the future if I need a doctor again.
