A graduate of Northwestern University and Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Durbhakula completed orthopaedic surgery residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Dr. Durbhakula then completed a fellowship in upper extremity and hand surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Durbhakula is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Durbhakula has received a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Easy to talk to, offers good explanations. Made sure I had copies of all records. Reviewed test results with me. Didn't have to wait long for an appointment; gave me choices for referrals. Xray equipment in office was very convenient. Very genial doctor, answers questions readily.
I asked to see an occupational therapist and he wrote a prescription; would have liked for him to bring it up first.

Dr. Durbhakula's office runs smoothly and efficiently. Upon arrival, I checked in, completed all required paperwork, and then was quickly taken for X-rays, which were done in the room directly across from my examination room. Following the X-rays, which populated instantaneously on the screen in my examination room, the doctor came in, reviewed my X-rays, offered a diagnosis, and explained my condition. He was friendly and thoughtful. While he didn't spend an extensive amount of time with me, he did take sufficient time to answer my questions before sending me on my way to continue my day. I very much appreciated the professional and efficient nature of this experience. I would recommend this office, and Dr. Durbhakula, to anyone looking for a hand and wrist specialist.

Upon meeting Dr. Durbhakula I was greeted warmly with a good handshake. He ask me about the symptoms I was having, insuring me that my ailment was quite common. He was thorough informing and demonstrating to me the cause of my ailment Dr. D. also provided me with some additional literature, as well as a website frequented by others with this ailment. I highly recommend him.

Dr and technicians was fine. Reception was awful. Receptionist acted as if she was doing me a favor - not welcoming or personal at all. Asked if I printed the docs which I inputted on-line. When I said no, she stood up and walked away for 8 minutes without explanation. Reception area lacked magazines/reading materials except for medical type. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to be escorted to an exam room. Then waited another 18 to meet with the Doctor. The credit card machine for payment was not working.

Very professional. Listened attentively to my issues and concerns. He explained the various alternative treatments very clearly and indicated a stepwise approach as we moved forward. Dr. Durbhakula was not rushed and spent sufficient time with me to address my problem. I am planning to use him for my surgery.

I was impressed by the whole experience. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the doctor is terrific. I came in with elbow pain, and I was anticipating pressure for surgery or some other procedure. Instead, he gave me exercises and non-invasive ways to get back to normal. He is open and actually listens. Bravo!
