I found her to be very helpful. We went for allergy test for my youngest son. As it turns out, he does not have any food allergies, however she gave us great guidance, tips & alternative food options. She was very kind and my seven-year-old and her easy to talk to you as well.

Dr. M. Girdhar is a board certified pediatrician, and she is board certified in allergy, asthma, and immunology for both adults and children. She attended Hinsdale Central High School and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She graduated from Midwestern University Medical School and completed her pediatric residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. She then completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Missouri in June 2014.
Dr. M. Girdhar’s areas of expertise include food and drug allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, eczema, rashes, and a variety of other allergic and/or immunologic conditions. Her most recent manuscript was published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology discussing the role and effect of omega-3 fatty acids in pregnancy and the development of atopic disease. During her free time, Dr. M. Girdhar enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.

Absolutely fantastic! My son has some complicated health issues, and Dr. Girdhar listened carefully and patiently, and took her time explaining options that we had. She is very knowledge but is also just a nice person, so it was a pleasure to have him seen by her. If we ever have other issues she can treat, we would certainly go back. On top of this, her office staff is lovely and professional. I'm really grateful for our visit today.

Dr Girdhar and her staff and nurses (Trudy in particular) were great with our 13-month old son. We really appreciated that they took the time to explain full courses of treatment and diagnosis, the pros and cons of certain diagnostic tools, and the reality of false positives/test reliability.
We will continue to see Dr. Girdhar as our son grows older and would recommend her practice to other parents or patients.

She's knowledgeable and made sure all my questions and concerns were dealt with without making me feel rushed through the appointment. The office was crowded with regular patients and it's easy to see why! Nurses and reception staff are pleasant too, expect an all-around great visit.

I had a great experience at Hnsdale Asthma & Allergy Center. The staff is very friendly and efficent. Dr. Manika is so nice. She immediately makes you feel comfortable. She is very thorough in explaining treatment and really takes her time to make sure her patients understand why she is prescribing each medication. I highly recommend her to anyone in search of an allergist.
