Manuel Mayor is a board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Mayor specializes in treatment of coronary disease, cardiomyopathies and heart failure, as well as clinical general cardiology. He has extensive experience in:
-Cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiac procedures.
-Echocardiogram, transesophageal echo, and stress echo.
-General cardiac evaluation and long term care.
Currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the Florida International University College of Medicine, Dr. Mayor was formerly at the University of Miami medical school, where he gained experience in heart transplant medicine, cardiomyopathies, and helped train numerous fellows in catheterization and interventional cardiology.
A graduate of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine, as well as fellowships in electrophysiology, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Program. Dr. Mayor has participated in many investigational studies over the past eighteen years, and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally.
Dr. Mayor hopes to add his support to the MHMP mission and philosophy of patient care, treating one patient at a time, with total commitment and dedication.
