More about Dr. Marc Kerner, MD, FACS
Marc Kerner, MD, FACS, is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kerner graduated with highest honors from the USC School of Medicine. While there he received the Outstanding Student Research Award, Dean’s List honors, and to the elite all-university honor society, The Skull and Dagger Society for outstanding contributions to the university. He was the co-founder of the USC Journal of Medicine, a student-run, peer-reviewed journal that published articles from both faculty and students.
Dr. Kerner completed his surgical training at UCLA, and a fellowship in surgical research under a joint appointment with the Department of Molecular Pathology. In addition, he trained in advanced microsurgical techniques with the Department of Plastic Surgery. Following the completion of his formal training, Dr. Kerner attended mini-fellowships in facial plastic surgery, sinus surgery, and minimally invasive thyroid surgery.
Dr. Kerner is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA, and Adjunct Clinical Professor at CSUN. He has received the outstanding Clinical Faculty Award multiple times from the ENT and Family Practice Department.
Dr. Kerner has published numerous articles, developed a number of cutting edge surgical techniques and instruments, and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Kerner has been recognized as the best ENT by the Los Angeles Daily News, the California State Assembly, the California State Senate, and received numerous awards from national societies. He has been featured in the media and is sought after for his opinions by both the print media and TV.
Dr. Kerner was the first to use computer-aided image guided technology for sinus surgery in southern California, the first to introduce powered instrumentation in sinus surgery to UCLA and the community, and balloon sinus technology, as well as the introduction of platelet gel technology in maxillofacial and facial plastic surgery.

The staff at Dr.Kerners office are nice and prompt about business. They do everything possible to not make you wait an extra minute. Every time I've gone I get there, sign in, fill out any paper work, I sit down and less than 5 minutes later I'm in a room with Dr.Kerner. Dr.Kerner is an excellent doctor that makes you feel well taken care of. I would highly recommend this office and Dr.Kerner.
He also removed my tonsils last year and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, from the scheduling, to the surgery and the results.

I had a great experience in my first visit for an ENT exam and diagnosis! Of course the videostroboscopy was a little uncomfortable, but it was quick and tolerable. Dr. Kerner was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It's also good to know that he's a UCLA Bruin!
