Dr. Weisman is dually certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine (AMA). A graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Weisman completed his Family Medicine residency and post-graduate geriatric training at William Beaumont Hospital. He is a co-founder of the United (Beaumont) Physicians and served on their Executive Board and Operations Committee for its first ten years. He is also the founding past Medical Director and Chairman of the Board for the Beaumont Physician Organization, PC. These groups merged in 2013. He is married with three children and enjoys fitness activities, swimming, biking, snow-skiing and hiking-particularly in the Rocky Mountains.
