I had checked in online through ZocDoc, and even received a confirmation message, but the office had no record of it:(

I waited too long
December 12, 2013Initials hidden
My first visit I had to wait at least 1 hour and a half before I was able to see the doctor, but when I finally did I thought that she seems good and might be worth the wait.
However, things went downhill from there. It's a long story with not being able to get hold of the doctor for my test results ... etc (similar to what happened to others that I wish now I took their reviews seriously). The worst part is my last visit. After I waited for weeks without getting any message about my test results, I finally called the doctor's office and the staff told me that I have to book an appointment with the doctor so that she can discuss my test results with me. So, I said OK, though she could have told me that from the beginning ...
Anyway, on the day of my appointment I had to wait for at least 1.5 hour, as usual, before seeing the doctor just to see her for 5 minutes so that she tells me that all my test results are good!!! If she had said that she wants to be paid a regular visit to give me my test results it wouldn't have been half as bad as wasting my time like this!

The doctor was nice and smart. My appt was at 10 and I didn't see her until after 12 because they had no record of my appointment. They put these "Room exclusively prepared for ...." signs with your name and a chocolate and then the bed you sit on is yellowed with I don't want to know what. I again waited after my appointment because they don't have change ready for the copay I paid in cash.

I love Dr Alexander. I've never felt more comfortable in a doctor's office, and I've never had a long wait in her office. I highly recommend her!

While she has excellent credentials, she is not very good at following up with patients and does not have a nurse practitioner on site that can answer questions in lieu of speaking with her. I have had to follow up with her on several occasions to receive lab and blood work and she often does not respond to phone calls in a timely manner. Her receptionist had no problem calling me to receive my billing address in a timely manner though..

Fabulous in all ways, but the wait was way too long. There were at least five people waiting to see her when I finally left at 5:00, and one said she'd been waiting for an hour. Other than that, it was the best experience I have ever had with a gynocologist.

I dread the annual lady doctor appointment. However, Dr. Margaret Alexander was fantastic. She is younger, well dressed, and professional - I didn't feel like I was seeing some fuddy duddy doctor that would be judging me. The waiting room was wonderful as well; it didn't feel like a stuffy, overcrowded doctor's office. There was an award on her wall for patients' choice doctor in 2008 and I know why! Have already recommended her to a friend!

Dr. Alexander is a highly skilled and compassionate physician with a great bedside manner. She took time to explain procedures and symptoms so that I could understand them. Her team (at the office and in the OR at the hospital where I had surgery) was also nothing short of phenomenal with regard to their service, explanations of procedures and the care they provided.

I had a very negative view of doctors because of past experiences where doctors have been non-communicative and dismissive. I loved the personal attention and willingness to openly communicate providing great detail and inviting questions.

I was extremely nervous for my annual Pap smear and full examination, and expressed this anxiety to Dr. Alexander. She was completely understanding, and even offered to have 2 of the ladies that work with her come in and hold my hands! I did not need that, though, because of Dr. Alexander's gentle approach. She told me what she was going to be doing, and narrated throughout the procedure of the Pap smear and exam. Very professional, and great bedside manner. I will definitely keep Dr. Alexander as my OB/GYN, and will certainly be recommending her to all of my friends. (I am new to the area, and had a pleasant experience overall.) Her office is an old white house, with luxurious paintings and furniture. Definitely not your average hospital/doctor's office!

Dr. Alexander is clearly an expert in her field. She made me feel comfortable in an environment that can be very uncomfortable for women at times.

While I did have a long wait (the doctor had an emergency at the hospital and was late getting in that day), I felt like the office did a good job making the best use of the time that they could. They had me filling out paperwork and paying my copay before I saw the doctor to get me in and out as fast as they could. I hope future visits don't have as big a wait, but she had a good reason for running behind that day.

Dr. Alexander was very thorough and professional. It's nice to see that Dr. Alexander has a true interest in her patients and doesn't try to rush you in and out. She is one, of not enough who possess "bedside manner".

My visit was so great! Dr. Alexander has such a wonderful bedside manner and made me feel extremely comfortable. She answered all of my questions and is so warm and genuine. And the soothing classical music, beautiful paintings on the walls, and video of koi swimming definitely made the atmosphere very peaceful!
