I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides therapy and psychological assessment to children, adolescents, adults, and families presenting with a wide variety of concerns. I work with individuals who have difficulties related to: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, divorce, parenting, and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse. I also see individuals struggling with: inattention, hyperactivity, social or behavioral issues, school, work, and family problems, as well as adjustment or life transition issues.
I use an integrative approach in my practice where I combine different therapeutic approaches and tools to best fit the needs of my clients. The primary approaches that I utilize are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, play therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With children, I find that caregiver involvement is an essential part of the therapy process.
I conduct psychological assessments to help identify and clarify mental health issues so that the individual can receive the appropriate services and be better able to reach their goals. Common presenting concerns that I assess are inattention/hyperactivity, behavioral concerns, personality issues, and emotional difficulties. In addition, I conduct pre-surgical (bariatric) evaluations as well as Intellectual Disability (ID) Waiver assessments.
