I am so very grateful for Margaret Mason. Not only is she professional but she’s also very kind, caring, and she listens! My past experiences with other doctors were not very good. Ms. Mason asked about my medical and family history. She listened and gave feedback to everything I had said. She examined me and provided feedback and a prescription. I am so thankful for Zocdoc for guiding me to Margaret Mason. She is a keeper!

Margaret is a Board Certified Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Prior to her nursing career, she proudly served as a Logistical Specialist in the US Army. Since then, she has accumulated over 20 years of experience in various areas of patient care, including roles as a Medical Assistant, LPN, and RN.
In addition to her clinical experience, Margaret has an outstanding educational background. She earned her Associate's degree from Galen College of Nursing, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Adult Gerontology from Walden University. She is certified by the ANCC as an Adult Gerontology Primary Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse.
For many years, Margaret has observed how disparities in healthcare affect our communities and has worked through community education to combat those disparities. She served as a volunteer educator and cooking instructor with Dare to Care Food Bank for several years while living in the Kentuckiana region, helping seniors and adults manage diabetes and other chronic illnesses. She is currently volunteering with Your Infinite Paths Foundation in Charles County, MD.
Margaret is a founding member and President of the Flemons Scholar nonprofit organization, established in 2019 in loving memory of her parents, Carolyn and Linder Earl Flemons. The organization provides an annual scholarship to a high school senior and sponsors community events.
Margaret's combination of passion, clinical education, and experience provides a strong foundation for the holistic approach she believes is crucial to closing gaps and building stronger, healthier communities.

Being apart of the healthcare field for many years and having a plethora of healthcare visits in the last decade, I have very rarely encountered really really good health care professionals. She's a Nurse Practitioner that has brains, excellent bedside manner and listening skills, and has a really caring demeanor.
I definitely put her to the test with some vague answers and she passed the test going above and beyond with additional questions, testing and advice.

OUTSTANDING!! Margaret is so knowledgeable, kind and patient. This is my second appointment with Margaret. She sees me for both OBG & General medicine. I’ve seen a lot of doctors rush you out of the room to get to the next one without listening clearly and understanding clearly what the patients needs are. Not Margaret! She’s a “unicorn”!
