Dr. Maria Maldonado completed her clinical training in Primary Care Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is additionally a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Prior to joining Reside Health she was a primary care physician for the Mount Sinai Health System, and faculty advisor to medical students at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she remains as Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine.
She has been committed to medical education for the entirety of her career and her research interests were devoted to patient-centered communication and care. Dr. Maldonado was selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in New York in 2021. She is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and is passionate about partnering with people in their journey toward their desired lifestyle and health goals.

The only thing that was a surprise was the annual membership fee. I could do a 1 month trial. After I met the doctor and decided I liked the doctor and cleanliness of the place, I took advantage of the holiday discount. Sadly, this doctor is moving on to another field completely at the end of the year, but was happy to find out that the organization has a branch nearer me, so I'll go there next year.

As someone who is always a little nervous about going to the doctor, I can't recommend Dr. Maldonado enough! She was incredibly comforting, and actually took the time to get to know me instead of making me feel rushed through the appointment. She was thorough and took her time while explaining every step to me. I'll be returning to Reside Health every year!

Dr. Maldonado is the BEST doctor I have ever been to!! I had a skin infection for 5 months and saw 4 dermatologists, an allergist, a gastrointologist, etc. and many months of being in physical pain. I saw Dr. Maldonado multiple times throughout this and she is the only reason why I figured out what it was (even though dermatology isn't her specialty). She talked me through everything it could possibly be and how I should proceed in finding care through a dermatology. She is the most compassionate, intelligent, and caring doctor - I do not have enough good things to say!! Wish I could give her a million stars and so thankful to have met Dr. Maldonado!!

The doctor herself was great but the practice charges every patient an annual membership of 150 bucks to continue care after your first visit because it’s “concierge” service. It’s awesome and beautiful and the doctor is great but I wish it wasn’t the case that I had to be a member to continue there

The office was very clean, and the staff friendly. Doctor's offices in midtown are usually busy with early morning appointments, but this office was surprisingly quiet. I think just the doctor and the front desk person was there, but they were both very attentive. Dr. Maldonado is thorough and interested in getting to know you as a person. She spends time talking to you to get an understanding of your needs and concerns, and listens attentively. She is part of a paid medical network, so you can't continue to see her if you don't join the network, which is unfortunate, but the cost is reasonable. I plan on seeing her again and would definitely recommend her.

This is an incredibly lovely office and the doctor was wonderful. Just a heads up that there is a yearly fee to join the practice even with your insurance covering appointments.

I had such an amazing experience here and with the doctor. She was nothing less than amazing and very clear and reassuring. I don’t think I’ve had a better experience with a doctor before. Highly recommend. There is an annual member fee, but they have a 3 month free trial! From my experience, I think it may be worth it.
