Dr. Razaq truly cares about her patients. She takes the time to get to know you, what your health issues are, and what your daily challenges are. That knowledge allows her to understand the care you need including referring you to other doctors for additional testing or procedures if she feels it is necessary. Dr. Razaq goes far beyond just writing a prescription and I would wait any amount of time necessary to see her.

Dr. Razaq completed her medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete her internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Dr. Razaq was selected to complete her residency training at the prestigious Georgetown University Hospital/National Rehabilitation Hospital. She is a board certified physiatrist, specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
In order to provide the best possible medical care for her patients, Dr. Razaq makes it a point stay well-informed regarding the latest advancements in the field of physical medicine, as well as rehabilitation/sports medicine/pain management. She has acquired training in musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue pathology such as, rotator cuff tears, tendinopathies/tendonitis, knee OA/ meniscus tears, along with nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome or compression neuropathy.
Dr. Razaq is a strong proponent of education to empower individuals to make healthier choices and in turn, improve their overall health. This is desire is what compelled her to start the Pain and Wellness Center of Maryland.

I have been a patient of Dr. Razaq for close to 10 years and still think she is wonderful. I don't really consider myself an "easy" patient but she always hands in there with me to determine what is going with me and decide how to best treat it. Another thing that I think is great is that if she really gets stuck on what is going on with me and can't seem to figure it out she will send me to another doctor for another opinion. I have never actually had to be sent to another doctor but I was close one time but Dr. Razaq did figure it out but she had told me that if she didn't get it straight soon she would send me for another opinion. Anyway the point I am trying to make is that she wasn't going to just leave me in pain and suffer forever if she couldn't figure it out and I think that's great because I have been to many doctors in the past that wouldn't send me anywhere else if they didn't know what was wrong. I would just have to deal with it. Maybe it was their egos thay were too big to admit they didn't know but no one knows everything and everyone needs help sometimes. So in my opinion for a lot more reasons than I have stated (because as you can see I ramble).So to save you from the pain of all that I will just say that I do highly recommend Dr. Razaq! She is wonderful!!

Such a wonderful doctor listens to all of your problems and helps you no matter what the issue is. She will spend as much time as needed with you and doesn't just help you with pain issues will help you with other issues also and refer you to whatever kind of doctor you need for the issues your having or need help with. By far one of my favorite doctors that I see.
