Mariana Silva is a deeply committed speech-language pathologist with over 16 years of experience. She has worked with infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adults across various settings, including schools, clinics, private practice, early intervention, and hospitals. She has worked with children with ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), dyslexia, autism, and those who are late talkers. Additionally, Mariana has experience working with adults in accent modification, aphasia, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders. Mariana is in her final semester of a PhD program in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Department at Arizona State University, specializing in word learning, vocabulary acquisition, and reading comprehension for children with speech and language disorders/delays. Her research, which integrates her clinical work, is focused on creating and designing evidence-based interventions, ensuring that the latest developments in the field always inform her practice. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds a Master of Science from Teachers College, Columbia University, specializing in biobehavioral studies. Mariana also offers bilingual services in Spanish and English, being academically proficient in both languages. In her free time, Mariana enjoys spending time at the Child Language and Literacy Lab at Arizona State University, where she is an active member. She is a mother of two boys, who often accompany her to the lab.
