A certified physician assistant and a diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (DSDPA), Marianne Pineda has been practicing since 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree in health science from the University of Florida. Marianne then graduated from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, where she earned a master’s degree in the physician assistant program.
As a physician assistant with specialized training in clinical and surgical dermatology procedures, Marianne enjoys treating patients with cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions. She performs full skin examinations and minor surgical procedures including excision of benign lesions (moles, cysts, etc.) and skin cancer removal.
A Florida native born to Colombian parents, Marianne speaks English and Spanish fluently. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, fitness, music, traveling and staying current on the latest dermatological advances.

The experience here at the Waters Edge Dermatology has been incredible. As you walk in you are met with a kind and smiling face… who by the way remembered by daughter when we returned for a follow up. That was special. The nurses and physicians have been so wonderful. Our favorite is Marianne PA. She is so kind and made every visit feel safe and comfortable. We are so thankful for the team here and all they do to make the patient experience wonderful! ????

Excellent visit as a first time patient. I wanted to get a body scan to make sure there is nothing that looks cancerous. From start to finish my visit was professional, thorough and pleasant. Dr. Pineda and her staff are first rate! I received a referral for a medical esthetician and plan to make an appointment for a deep pore cleaning with extractions. I also purchased a product to diminish brown spots on my face. I already made my appointment for next year. I highly recommend this office.
