Marjorie “Maggie” Smerlas, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who received her advanced practice nursing degree from Boston College. Maggie’s down-to-earth, patient-centered approach to care - along with her sense of humor and empathy lead her to be very easily approachable and relatable to patients from all walks of life. Maggie has worked in the mental health field in varying roles for over 15 years - from counseling to medication management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is experienced in treating psychiatric disorders across the lifespan - specializing in PTSD, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders and substance use. While Maggie is able to prescribe medication, she also incorporates holistic approaches to her plan of care.
In her free time, Maggie enjoys traveling with family and friends, and staying active with her dog Jane - a certified therapy dog who often accompanies her in her practice.
