More about Dr. Mark D'Agostino, MD
Dr. D'Agostino is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and has a subspeciality Board Certification in Addiction Medicine; he is a Suboxone provider, and treats a variety of substance use disorders with medication assisted treatment (MAT) and therapy (as needed). He specializes in the treatment of adults and late-adolescents and is committed to partnering with patients and families to identify and achieve their goals. In addition to expertise in medication management for conditions including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, opioid and alcohol use disorder, he is a trained therapist, and is available for medication management, psychotherapy, or both.
Dr. D'Agostino was initially a general medical and emergency medicine physician in the US Army, serving as an active duty Brigade Surgeon, as well as at Walter Reed Army Medical Center near the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These experiences deepened his passion for mental health and to understand and treat trauma, and after leaving the US Army he trained as a psychiatrist.
Dr. D'Agostino attended Brown Medical School on academic scholarship, and completed residency training in Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Before medical school, Dr. D’Agostino was awarded a Marshall Scholarship and nominated for a Fulbright Fellowship. While in the United Kingdom, he obtained a Master of Science in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing at the London School of Economics, and a Master of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham Medical School. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, and remains on faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
