Dr. Hughes earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas. After graduating, he earned his medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Hughes studied aerospace medicine for five years before becoming the only physician in a small town (with only one red light). He always wanted to be a rural physician, and it's been everything he had hoped.
