Dr. Jo is kind, a patient listener, and a great practitioner. The office and parking garage were extremely busy today because of the holidays. I was preparing for a long wait, but my wait time was surprisingly brief. Dr. Jo never made me feel rushed. I highly recommend him and his office staff for orthopedic care.

First patient check-in onIPAD is cumbersome and redundant. Dr. Jo and clinical staff are excellent.

Very informative experience

Long wait. Was seen by the doctor for no more than 45 seconds. There was another practitioner or employee standing in the doorway just watching me speak with the doctor, so no privacy. Too expansive for such a short visit. Also, when asking about my concern the doctor simply did a Google search and showed me the top article on my condition. No real genuine care or treatment. I felt like a transaction and like the doctor was trying to make our meeting as short as possible.
Superior performance by Dr. Mark Jo. Exceptional communicator and listener and had options for continued plan for improvement and recovery of arthritic and injured knees that wasn't just replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Jo.

I was amazed at how organized the scheduling system was. I was able to schedule an appointment within a week. Dr. Jo was not rushed, and he took sufficient time to explain in detail my x-rays as well as a treatment plan to address my condition.
Verified patient
I think this Dr was rushed. Didn't ask me about my pain level, how my injury was affecting my daily life. Didn't watch me walk. Very unsophisticated and patronizing. I left feeling uninformed and like my visit was a waste of time.
Verified patient
Rushed, didn’t listen to my concerns
I presented to the office on time, then had a long wait in the lobby followed by another long wait in the exam room. When the provider finally saw me, he only spent 2 minutes with me only to tell me that I needed an MRI. He did not conduct an exam on my knee or discuss my symptoms and any potential complications. The MRI revealed a full tear of the ACL. My follow up with him will only be a phone call, which will likely be to schedule surgery. I will be looking for another provider who actually cares to take time and discuss concerns with patients.
Verified patient
My experiences with Dr. Jo and his staff are always positive. They are professional and friendly. The wait can be long depending on the number of patients but Dr. Jo never hurries his visit with you. Highly recommend.
Verified patient
I have seen this provider more than once. The outstanding thing of this visit was getting an assessment of an injury within 36 hours of the injury. That allowed me to move forward with recovery and an understanding of what my limitations.

I had two appointments with Dr. Jo. Each time he spent less than three minutes even second time when he explained to me my MRI confirmed that my rotator cuff was completely torn off and required a surgery. He never looked at my eyes when he talked and barely listened to my pain. I feel he was cold and indifferent. I am glad I was transferred to a shoulder specialist and doesn’t have to see him again. The only comfort thing was his assistant, Chris, was very helpful.

Dr. Mark Jo was very abrasive and rushed during our appointment. I suffered an injury as a result of increasing my running training, but he did not want to listen to how I came to injure myself and instead rushed through our appointment with very common sense sentiments like "don't train as much, don't run as much". He only came to the conclusion that if it got worse I should see him. He did not even examine my injury. At one point he referred to me as "stereotypical". I would not recommend him as a physician. The office was an extremely clean and organized environment.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Jo a day before. I show up on time for my appointment and waited over an hour to get in to be seen. I get x-rays and they take me to the room to wait for him. I waited for him for another 30 minutes. A nurse comes by and tells me he has quite a few patients before you. I heard the nurse through the open door tell him You have 5 patients you haven't seen yet. Still waiting... The nurse comes into the room and says he's running behind but he tends to go really fast. Finally he come into the room. Look at the x-rays and says x-rays look ok on the shoulder probably have a rotator cuff issue I will send you to an MRI and you'll get a sling. He's out the door in less than 2 minutes. I'm in serious pain. He mentions nothing about my pain chart. He does examine me, touch me, or get within 5 feet from me. He gives me not pain medication, not even Mortin. I get a crummy sling that doesn't support the elbow at all and hands me off to another doctor for follow up. So waited an 1;30 minutes for a 2 minute Dr. visit.

My first knee x-rays showed an effusion which was not mentioned. The MRI results given to me were somewhat rushed with the first part of the radiologist's report dismissed as "medical jargon". My knee/swelling was never actually looked at. I was given a heavy brace at the first appointment which quickly after was experienced with my knee aching because of compression over swelling. - seemed pro-forma and without knowing the MRI results/diagnosis yet. I was unable to return the brace, and I don't know if insurance will even cover it. A free CD of X-ray results was given to me at Urgent Care - not here.

Beautiful waiting area! Large practice. I was a new patient. All forms are filled in on iPad. X-rays taken before I saw Dr. Jo, which is so smart! Dr Jo was friendly and interested in my situation. He referred me to another doctor in the practice who specializes in toes and feet. He even took photos of my feet with his cell phone to show the other doctor, whom I will soon see.
Verified patient
The doctor was very personable and practical with my treatment plan. He was respectful and thoughtful and a good communicator.
Verified patient
Waited for 1.25 hours only to spend 5-10 mins with the doctor, who gave me unclear recommendations and was trying to move onto other patients.
Verified patient
Yes, I would go back.
Dr. Jo takes the time to find out what’s wrong and then explains the injury and what treatments are available. He is easy to talk to.
Verified patient
Exceptional Clean. All the personnel were very friendly and helpful. This was my first visit with Dr. Jo and I was very impressed.
