Patient reviews for Dr. Marrie Richards
She is a rude woman. I booked her based on the reviews but I am surprised she even has a 4 star. Hardly a one star!!
Highly professional and polite! Would strongly recommend Dr. Richards for everyone.
I arrived with severe pain in my neck and head. Dr Richards was as blunt with her words as I’d read, but felt as though she really didn’t read the information I’d provided on the intake forms as she thought I was ‘computer geek’ who sat in a chair all day, and thus my posture was the issue. My main complaint stems from her recommending a CT scan without an order. She directed me to an emergency care center that I couldn’t find (admittedly my fault), and when I left a request with the receptionist to get an order so I could visit my local imaging center, Dr Richards instead called me back to tell me where the emergency center was located. I have tried calling her office multiple times a day in the three days since visiting her, still trying to get that order, and have yet to have a person answer the phone.
She was very knowledgeable and helpful, I’ll be going back to her again!
She was amazing! Extremely on point and straight forward with communication. Surprised that she did all that I needed for my annual in the same appointment.
She was unprofessional I don’t know if she is like that or she was having a bad day
Very down to earth! It was my first visit and she treated my as if she’s known me forever I loved that. Also she’s very honest and doesn’t sugarcoat things I appreciate that a lot. She will definitely be my new PCP!
Quaint office with kind people. Dr. Marrie was very attentive and thorough I liked her very much!
Dr. Richards was extremely caring, right to the point, and overall helpful. I will recommend her with no reservations.
I’ve seen Dr. Richards three times for different illnesses, and from my experiences, as a medical professional I’d say she’s satisfactory. She’s concise and to the point, but doesn’t elaborate a lot on what she’s prescribing unless you ask her. During my most recent visit however, the office assistant was a complete mess and I didn’t feel that it was a very professional setting. It took them (the office assistant and Dr. Richards) over 30 minutes to find my files in their file cabinet, which were filed away under the completely wrong section and it wasted my morning. There was kind of an awkward moment between the two of them on how to perform duties in the office that I felt could have been handled when there were no clients around, but I guess that’s how Dr. Richards run her office.
I understand she was the only one there that day, but I don’t feel like all my concerns were addressed then I was rushed away. Will not be back
amazing doctor! and fast service.
Should be negative stars. Worst experience ever. Lets start with the 3rd world office conditions or at least what you think you'd see in a 3rd world (because I've seen way better in the 3rd world). Her exam rooms could be used to make a horror film or used as a CIA black site torture room. All the stuff in it looks like it came out of the late 1940's with stacks and stacks of magazines from yesteryears. Next lets talk about her behaviour over all. I believe she's from NY because she acts and behaves with that obnoxious NY attitude (Loud, rude and those are her nice qualities). She dresses in Yoga pants and reeks of cigarette smoke. You can tell she's in the profession for the money (a side from not spending a dime to update her office) because I recall this one time she tried to stop taking credit cards (she said I could pay her next time) I gave her what I had on me and told her I'd pay the rest on my next visit and so I stopped going to her for a month and she sent me a very RUDE letter in the mail demanding I pay her. I should have stopped going at that point but I didn't out of convenience. There are so many more negative visits I endured but I don't think there's enough room in the space to document it all. Above all I forgive rudeness, awful bedside manners and a disgusting office setting but what I can't forgive is unethical behaviour.
A real doctor doesn't wear YOGA PANTS and SMOKE CIGARETTES.
Best to avoid this Doctor at all cost!!! RUN RUN and don't look back. HORRIBLE SERVICE!
More worried about making money than treating her patients with respect. Worst doctor ever!!!
Worst Doctor ever. Rude and money hungry.
She was very rude and spoke to me like I was stupid. I will not go back to see her.
She was awesome. Extremely helpful and patient enough to answer my questions and explain anything that I didn’t fully understand.
I did not like Dr. Richards very much. She was trying to start up small talk like any doctor but she just came off very rude when speaking. Very harsh.
Worst experience. The dr was the front office and the dr. When I went into the patient area the table was old and dingy. Nothing was clean. She showed up in her yoga pants. Nothing clean about the examination area. Don’t go!!!
Was great...right to the point and no wasted time.
I didn’t fill welcomed to her office
Excellent family physician!
I think the staff and the Dr. Richards have good hearts and love thier patients. However, they definitely have an older patient base and don't seem to welcome the younger age (I'm 29) very well. They work with lots of paper and little tech, which is hard for those of us who only ever have electronic documents, cards, etc. Their older clientele works really well for them and is definitely Dr. Richards niche. Sarah is the office manager (I think) and she does a really good job managing everything and understanding her Dr's preferences and needs. However, I would not recommend Dr. Richard to any Millennial. She was very annoyed at my providing insurance digitally, etc. I decided to leave the office before having to pay the co fee because I could tell it wasn't going to be a good fit for me. If you don't care too much about tech and being able to provide virtual copies of things, I do think she'd be a great doctor. I saw about 6-8 patients come in and out while I was there and they all seemed to love her.
Dr. Richards was very friendly and professional.
Love this doctor. Receptionist and doctor are very down to earth and listen to your needs before prescribing. Would recommend to anyone!
Dr. Richards is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. She was very nice when diagnosing my problem and discussing my treatment options. Also, the wait time was only a few minutes. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Richards.
She is the absolute best and i wouod recommend her to anyone.
She seems to care about her patients. I would recommend her to everyone. Great bedside manner.
The doctor asked good questions once I was in the exam room with her. What has made me give the lower score is that when I walked into the office I wasn't greeted and when I walked up to the window the doctor was sitting at the reception desk listening to voicemails very loudly on speaker, and made no attempt to quiet them when I walked up. She looked up at me and said "we will be with you, sit down over there" and nodded towards the couch in the waiting room. Another patient walked in right behind me and the doctor and this pateient began discussing the reason for her visit while walking back to the exam room. However I could hear their entire conversation about this persons health and asked the receptionist who showed up if it was commonplace to hear the whole exam happening in the other room? She hopped up and when to shush the doctor and patient and then closed the door to the exam room I assume. Mainly I feel my privacy would not be treated respectfully in the regular care of this physician. Also, the waiting room and exam room were cluttered with old magazines stacked 4 feet high. And the doctor was wearing yoga pants. I appreciate casual but this was lacking almost any professional decorum.
I was treated poorly as if I was a burden. She violated hippa law in front of me twice and when asked for a referral i was met with resistance and again as if i was bothering her. She has a dirty "exam room" with a busted open exam table. The office is cluttered like a hoarders house and very tight. I was there for a physical and wasn't given one and she wanted me to schedule again for it and i still didn't get my referral for my well women's exam. I work 5 days a week from 6am-6pm for my time is super valuable so this was not okay. She billed my insurance still for a for nothing!
It was nice to be seen by a doctor that actually looks at your chart before seeing you. She was able to see what medications I had been prescribed in the past in order to make a decision for this time.
I went to see her when I felt sick before going to visit my 90-year-old grandfather - I wanted to know if I had the flu, since I had fever and cold symptoms. Rather than do a fu test, she told me it was "too early" in fall for the flu, and told me I probably had a cold. So I went to stay with him for a week - and ended up with him taking care of me when I came down with really severe flu symptoms - he took me to emergency care when my fever hit 104. They did a flu test. Positive. I could have infected him - the very thing I was seeking to prevent. AVOID.
terrible bedside manner. doesn't even examine me and then has the nerve to have her staff call and ask if I'd be interested in pricey "Concierge Service." Not from her!!
Dr. Richards is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable being a new patient. She has great bedside manner.
What a disaster ...i get there on time for this?? The receptionist was good but it was downhill from there . She looked like hell the office was filthy she was dressed like someone lounging around the house. And talked like a bitter old bag. She misplaced her stesssa scope and when she found it under the table on the floor underneith some laundry. In the end i just wanted out of there so much i almost forgot my prescription!needless to say it was my first and last visit with that kook =/. Pass on this place unless ur drunk and u can say i ll have another round sir !
Once again, excellent care received from Dr. Marrie Richards and excellent service and support from her amazingly proficient and endearing assistant, Angie. I believe I have been a patient for about 15 years now and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Richards and the personal level of care and genuine concern she has shown me in that time. I highly recommend Dr. Richards to anyone looking for a general or family physician.
I am happy with the care Doctor Marrie Richards has provided for me over the past 2 years. I changed doctors when I began working at Greenway Plaza. She has also given me excellent referrals when I needed more specialized health care.
HORRIBLE ENVIRONMENT! She seemed unprofessional, not too concerned, didn't give much knowledge/explanations. Beds are all destroyed(ripped, torn, punchered, cushion going out, ext.), rooms looked dirty! Just very unpleasant!!
Office is well managed. Appreciated being able to use a Zocdoc type application to book appointment. It was easy to use, informative, and also provided the medical information forms needed to be completed prior to the office visit. Dr. Richards executed a thorough review of legacy information and provided a plan forward. Her to the point approach is very satisfactory.
I was very happy with my visit to Dr. Richards' office. The wait time was short and I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards to anyone!!
Dr. Richards is very inconsiderate. She asked me why I came there and that I shouldn't have. She also asked why I did not go to my primary doctor; instead, in a very unsympathetic manner. Dr. Richards thinks you should only have one primary doctor so things do not get "confusing." First of all, you're PRIMARY concern should be to take care of any patient that comes to you, regardless of what they are bringing to the table. Second of all, there is NOTHING wrong with someone coming in for a second opinion. Third of all, my primary doctor is a male and I wanted to be seen by a woman for my certain case. Lastly, as a "doctor" you never make your patients feel lower than what they already feel when they are already scared or in pain of whatever they are coming to YOU for and that's exactly how she made me feel. Honestly, I was mistaken and thought she was a GYN, but either way of what I thought or not, she's still a female doctor and should've made me feel comforting. DO NOT recommend her to anyone, horrible!
Great receptionist, but the doctor was rude, she didn't seem interested in helping me and seemed she was in a rush to see the rest of her patients. This was the first and last visit I'll have with this doctor.
I thought she was fantastic, it was my first time and she will be my GP from now on.
She is very thorough and knowledgeable
The doctor took a phone call about her floors at home during our consultation. When I walked in I thought she was the crotchety old office assistant by the way she answered the phone and spoke to people. Do I need to tell you explicitly that I would not recommend this doctor?
Quirky office. Very responsive staff. Very knowledgable doc. Found my new PCP
Dr. Richards was able to fit me in before had to leave for a meeting. She was efficient and helped me understand my various treatment options. Thank you!
I scheduled my appointment for two and wasn't seen until about 3:15. Aside from the front desk lady asking everyone to use cash or check because its what [the doctor] prefers, she was friendly. One of the men in the waiting room with me was joking about how the doctor's sweet spot is just before lunch, after that it's a waiting game. The front desk woman chimed in with a laugh, "yea, she's usually always 30 mins late". While in the waiting room, I could hear every conversation the doctor was having with each patient. My time with the doctor was very brief, she barely made eye contact, and looked on her phone for medications for me. She was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend her to anyone. Ever.
