In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
In my opinion, a primary care provider should serve as the cornerstone for a patient's overall health, addressing both physical and behavioral needs. They should not only diagnose and treat immediate illnesses but also focus on preventive care, educating patients about maintaining their health. Additionally, recognizing and addressing behavioral health needs is crucial, as mental and emotional well-being often intersect with physical health. A holistic approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive care, fostering a stronger patient-provider relationship built on trust and understanding.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
When I’m not serving my patients you will find me spending time with with my wife and sweet daughter. We enjoy exploring the outdoors, going on walks, traveling, cooking, and reading together!
