More about Dr. Martha St John, MD
We are ONLY scheduling for complimentary Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Ketamine SCREENINGS with our office coordinator on Zocdoc. We are not accepting General Psychiatry or Medication Management patients. Ketamine is NOT covered by insurance and is SELF-PAY ONLY. TMS IS ONLY COVERED WITH THE INFO BELOW:
TMS is an FDA Approved device to treat Treatment Resistant Depression. Insurance will usually cover TMS for depression if the patient has not achieved results, or had adverse side effects, from 2-4 antidepressants and has had at least 8 weeks of psychotherapy. Patients who do not meet these insurance company "hurdles' can choose to self pay.
Insurance does NOT cover IV Ketamine treatment, but we offer competitive rates for self pay. We also offer Spravato, a nasally inhaled form of esketamine, that is FDA-approved for treatment resistant depression, and partially covered by insurance plans.
If you suffer from alcohol or drug dependency as well, you must agree to abstain from use during TMS and/or Ketamine treatment.
Once again, PLEASE DO NOT schedule an appointment unless you are seeking TMS or Ketamine. The appointment you are scheduling is with our office coordinator to determine if you meet the criteria for treatment. If you do, you will THEN be scheduled for an appointment with Dr. St. John.
