He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Kerzer is a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society, Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians, Rhode Island Society of Osteopathic Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Kerzer is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Brown Medical School and he received the Dean's Teaching Excellence Award in 2013 and 2005-2006. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kerzer serves as one of the Medical Directors of Rhode Island Primary Care Physicians Corporation (RIPCPC). He is also a Tar Wars Presenter, speaking to children about the dangers of smoking. Dr. Kerzer is a leader in promoting and implementing electronic medical records in RI and he was awarded Physician of the Year in 2009 from Rhode Island Primary Care Physicians Corporation.
