I am a native Texan and have been practicing medicine in the Austin area for almost eight years now. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University where I received both Bachelors in Science and Bachelors in Art degrees. I received my degree in medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara with further extensive training at New York Medical College. I performed my residency training and Chief Resident year here in Austin at Brackenridge Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Austin, and St. David’s Hospital.Regarding my philosophy of patient care… I want my patients to know that my staff and I strive to provide them excellent medical care with all the attention and service that they’d expect from a small town doctor philosophy.

Dr. Molina's compassion and patient care are reminiscent of what I believe physicians 30 years ago were similar to. He is very personable and very kind; all coming from a place of true authenticity. His staff, although quite busy, are just as personable and welcoming. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Molina and even more fortunate to wholeheartedly rely on him, and his staff, to provide care for me.

I waited more than an hour to be seen. I understand that sometimes you get behind, but our time is valuable too. There was no mention of my long wait time, much less an apology. The nurse who helped me was neither friendly or respectful. I was expected to undress in front of her with no drape or gown - I am not an overly modest person, but it shocked me that there would not be some sort of covering offered. Dr. Molina was quite friendly, but clearly rushed.I was asked to reiterate what I had just taken 20 minutes to write in my patient information forms. In general, I did not feel like I was respected as a person whose time and health are valuable.

He is more concerned with treating health issues through lifestyle changes first. Other doctors just throw medicine at the problem, but that doesn't really fix the root issue. I really appreciated that about Dr. Molina. He's very friendly and thorough and made sure all my questions were answered. I never felt like he was in a rush to see the next patient. I went for my annual physical exam and I told him my concerns for my health and skin condition I was having and he didn't even care about them and just seemed interested in taking samples and sending for test. He sends test samples to Boston which takes awfully long to give results and his office never called and informed me when the results were back. After waitaing for 3 weeks I called and scheduled a follow up visit, in that also he seemed not to answer my health conditions and just explained results of my test report to me which I could read for myself, prescribed me heart medicine without referring to Cardilogist and explaining the side effects. My skin condition worsened in these 4 weeks with no treatment for this long. I received a letter from my Insurance saying I owe 1500$ for the test he has conducted on me in out of Network lab without telling me which spoiled my whole 4th July weekend. When I called his office they said they have tie up and I don't have to pay which was relief but after my weekend gone, I would prefer this thing to be told in advance.
