Dr. Martin Ostro is an allergist and immunologist on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, with a private office in Brookline, Massachusetts. He has more than 30 years of experience and holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Ostro earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Ostro continued his medical education at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital, both major teaching hospitals in the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University, completing an internship and internal medicine residency. Dr. Ostro has also completed a fellowship program in allergy and immunology at the National Jewish Hospital and Research Center, in Denver.
In addition to providing specialized care of common conditions such as allergic rhinitis (“hay fever”), chronic cough and asthma Dr. Ostro also has a special interest in food allergies, contact dermatitis (“skin allergies”) and immune deficiency. Dr. Ostro has participated in research and co-authored scientific papers related to drug allergies, hives and rhino-sinusitis.
