Dr. Mary is an angel . No matter how many times I interrupted her explaining how I felt , she stayed calm and listened . She allowed me the space to be covetable and she is helping me to get well .

Dr. Mary is an angel . No matter how many times I interrupted her explaining how I felt , she stayed calm and listened . She allowed me the space to be covetable and she is helping me to get well .
It was not a very pleasant experience. I didn’t feel like I was listened, and I had to repeat my answers to her questions over and over. She made me feel like I have to defend for the feelings I have, and I need to convince her that all the sufferings and pain I have is real. It’s already pretty difficult to seek help yet I left the session feeling more triggered and painful. Would not recommend Dr. Duah.
I love her! Explains things very well!
Clean, polite and quick
I came to this psychiatrist during a time of serious emotional distress, asking for a short-term supply of clonazepam, which I had taken once over 3 years ago in Canada under the same circumstances. I explained my stable and successful history with Wellbutrin and my sexual sensitivity to SSRIs/SNRIs like Lexapro and Effexor. Despite this, she seemed annoyed and kept pushing Effexor on me, dismissing my concerns. What hurt most was when she said she’d have to “check a database” to see if I’d been prescribed benzos, warning she wouldn’t prescribe anything if she saw a “pattern.” It felt like a threat or criminal database, as if I were lying, drug-seeking, or trying to manipulate her. I’ve never been prescribed benzos in the US, and she ultimately gave me 10 pills — proving I was honest. But I left feeling judged, unheard, and like a criminal. I came for help during a vulnerable moment and instead was met with suspicion and shame. Patients in crisis deserve compassion, not interrogation.
