Dr. Hillis is a kind and highly qualified cardiologist who cares for patients with both common and complex cardiovascular diseases. His practice has a focus on cardiac rhythm disorders and implantable cardiac devices, but he values the importance of general cardiovascular wellness and prevention. He is an empathetic listener who strives to provide an individualized and comprehensive evaluation and management plan for each of his patients.
Dr. Hillis was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and then received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, cum laude, at Harvard University. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
His clinical time is spent caring for patients in and out of the hospital setting and performing heart rhythm procedures such as catheter ablation and pacemaker and ICD implantation. His outpatient office is located at Lawrence Park in Broomall, PA and he is on staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Delaware County Memorial Hospital, and Lankenau Medical Center.
