Dr. Maura Caufield is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at multiple national and regional dermatology meetings.
Dr. Caufield was born and raised in Northern Colorado. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology and Pre-Professional Studies. She attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Caufield was selected for a highly sought-after combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at Georgetown University and Medstar Washington Hospital Center where she served as Chief Resident. She is excited to be returning home to Colorado to offer comprehensive dermatologic care.
Dr. Caufield’s training in both dermatology and internal medicine gives her a unique ability to approach the whole patient and address conditions that go beyond the skin. During residency, Dr. Caufield also received in-depth training at Children’s National Medical Center where she worked with many children with challenging skin disorders.

I am so happy to have finally found a dermatologist that I can trust! Dr. Caufield was extremely thorough and also offered practical advice. I got the sense that she actually cared about helping me and was not just trying to churn out patients. She was extremely kind and patient. Five stars all the way.

I have been seeing a dermatologist for 3 years now, but due to a recent change in my job location I started seeing Dr. Caufeild. And I have to say, this move saved my life. Dr. Caufield not only diagnosed what my long term rash was, but made it finally go away! She is one of the most competent, intelligent, and caring doctors I have ever had! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff. After a short wait I was escorted to the examination room where Dr Caufield immediately examined me.
I found her to be professional and thorough. After examination, Dr Caufield performed a minor surgical procedure. She fully expanded the procedure and it was performed.
I highly recommend Dr Caufield and will return to her for future treatment.
