Dr. Gappy is a Michigan native and completed his education in his home state. He graduated from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep before completing his Bachelor of Science at Wayne State University. This was followed by a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Gappy then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He is now practicing general ophthalmology, treating a wide spectrum of diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye. He has a special interest in refractive cataract surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Gappy enjoys playing soccer, grilling, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
