Dr. Mayur Kanjia is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with Fellowship training in Pain Management.
Originally from New York he graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Biomedical Engineering with Tau Beta Pi honors while also earning minors in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics. Dr. Kanjia then received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and went on to complete his Anesthesiology Residency training there as well.
In order to further his expertise, Dr. Kanjia, completed a Fellowship at University of Cincinnati in Pain Management. In his spare time, Dr. Kanjia enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and watching football.
Dr. Kanjia understands that when a person is in constant pain, every aspect of their day to day lives can be impacted. Without relief, pain can lead to the deterioration of a person’s physical and emotional well being. It was over an hour waiting to see Dr. Kanjia. I did feel rushed and that may have been due to the fact he was running so far behind. We didn't explore any different options for my care and he continued on with what my old pain management doctor was doing for me. While there is nothing wrong with that, I was hoping for another treatment option that may be available. I will continue to see Dr. Kanjia.

Very understanding & professional doctor. He wasn't as willing to prescribe meds as my previous pain management doctors have been & that does concern me. I really worry that I won't be able to keep up with my 9 year old if I'm hurting as much as I am now, on the amount of medicine I'm currently on. But, he was more than willing to try some minor surgeries & day procedures that he believes will help me deal with the severity of my pain & possibly reduce the amount of pain I'm in entirely! This is definitely something I want to try!!
Overall, I would recommend Dr. Kanjia to others in need of a good doc.
My only real complaints were the long drive (2 hours & 15 minutes from my home!!!) & the wait once in the room.
Overall, a good experience for me.

For once, an orthopedic doctor that actually made me feel welcome. The staff was friendly and patient. Dr. Mayur Kanjia not only explained everything to me in full detail and a very friendly manner, but also didn't make me feel rushed at all. I felt respected as he politely listened to me explain my history of everything. He allowed me to resume from where I left off with my former orthopedic doctor instead of making me start all over with a new regimen of "Let's try this first..." Overall, a very helpful experience.

Very fluid with zero problems. The staff was very helpful and doctor Kanjia was great!! He even gave visuals so that I could understand exactly what was going on.
