What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with adults and couples who are navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, life transitions, or past wounds that still impact the present. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Whether you're seeking personal growth, a deeper connection, or healing from emotional pain, I provide a supportive space to help you gain clarity, strengthen your coping skills, and create lasting change. My communication style is warm, direct, and nonjudgmental. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—while also being gently challenged when needed. I value honesty, empathy, and clarity, and I strive to balance compassionate listening with practical feedback that helps you move forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My journey to becoming a therapist started early—growing up, I watched my father provide pastoral counseling, and I saw firsthand the impact that compassionate listening and guidance could have on someone’s life. That planted a seed in me. Later, I worked for several years at a residential treatment center, where I walked alongside people facing deep emotional and behavioral struggles. Through those experiences, I realized how much I value helping others find hope, healing, and direction as they navigate this complex thing called life. Therapy felt like a natural calling. I help clients reach their goals by first taking time to understand their unique story, strengths, and challenges. Together, we identify clear, meaningful goals and break them down into manageable steps. Throughout the process, I provide structure, encouragement, and practical tools—while regularly checking in to track progress, adjust strategies, and celebrate growth along the way. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions about your background, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. It’s a relaxed, collaborative conversation where you set the pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. By the end, we’ll have a clearer picture of how we can work together toward your goals.
