This review is specifically for the nurse of Dr. Singh. (I consider the nurse an integral part of a medical visit, so I believe posting such a review here is appropriate).
Dr. Singh's nurse has consistently provided the highest quality of care, across the board and by far, of any nurse from whom I have received care. (This includes nurses from all medical visits and healthcare providers in my life.) It says (and means) a lot when I call my doctor's office and am actually able to speak with my doctor's nurse.
Perhaps because of the growing shortage of doctors and nurses today, my experience has been that if you call into your doctor's office, you will receive the current industry standard "If you're calling before 3 p.m., your message will be returned the same business day. Messages left after 3 p.m. will be returned the next business day."
Honestly, I have wondered if this "rule" is intended to set expectations (and standards) for nurses and clients alike. Clients realize they need to call early enough if they wish to receive a response that day; and nurses realize they have a minimal duty to return messages received before 3:00 p.m.
On one occasion, I called in at 4:29 p.m. (the office closes at 4:30 p.m.) expecting to leave a message. The nurse answered and helped me with my request. I have called between 3:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on other occasions as well, with the same human response from this nurse. On one specific occasion, she stayed until nearly 5:00 p.m. to resolve an issue with another provider involved in my care, and make sure I could obtain my prescription later that day.
Her actions have helped renew some of my faith in healthcare providers. I have become used to just being "the patient in Room 6." Every healthcare provider would "say" they genuinely "care," if asked - but I have encountered few who actually show it with their actions. These few go above and beyond when they have no obligation to do so, and may even be making sacrifices to do so.
I would like to recognize one of those few in Dr. Singh's nurse.

After taking the time to fill out the online patient information extensively at home, I was asked to write-out the same information at the doctors office two more times! This was a waste of my valuable time and less accurate at the office because I didn't bring my medications or a list of medications.

I cancelled and rescheduled using ZocDoc, but that information didn't reach the office. This glitch led my doctor to believe I was a no show for my cancelled appointment and scheduled someone else during my new appointment, so I was not able to get in on the day I needed too. I will be sure to schedule by phone in the future.

I felt comfortable and relaxed in the appointment. Dr. Singh listened and communicated well, and she was honest. She explained my condition, prescribed medication to treat it, and described in detail the connection between the condition and the medication. She provided timeframes for expected improvement, important statistical information about the condition and medication, and the minor risks involved. Overall, her competency and bedside manner were terrific.
I have been to other doctors where I am treated like a number - just another patient to get to the next patient. It seems like those doctors are trying to go as fast as possible, and they are already writing scripts after 15 seconds of dialogue with me.
In contrast, Dr. Singh is one of the good doctors. Throughout the appointment, I felt like I had Dr. Singh's undivided attention and that she was genuinely invested in helping me. Her nurse was super as well.
