I was very impressed by Dr. Megan Heany and my overall visit to have an eye exam. She was so genuinely concerned about improving my condition. I was immediately comfortable with her care and professionalism. I was diagnosed within minutes and she courteously answered all my questions.

Dr. Heany is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO Class of 2007). While in optometry school, she tutored fellow optometry students in the field of medical laboratory skills. She also completed additional clinical training at private practices in both the Houston and Dallas areas.
Dr. Heany earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2003. She was a key member of the campus panhellenic counsel, helping to make important decisions concerning student campus life. During her senior year, she completed a senior thesis fellowship comparing and contrasting various refractive surgery procedures.
With a caring and friendly demeanor, Dr. Heany knows how to put patients at ease and make them feel well informed about their treatment. When she is not working, Dr. Heany enjoys running, trying out new recipes, and spending time with her husband and 4 month old baby.

After all was done and I left I found myself wondering why my eyes weren't dialated since my last appointment with another doctor was 2 years ago. I used to be diabetic and always had my eyes dialated and checked by all other OD's prior. I wouldn't think that I would have to ask that it be done.
Also, when the appointment was over, I went to the connected store to look for and purchase new eyeglasses. However, it was closed. I had to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes for the person to return from an errand. That was not a good thing, especially when there are a lot of people getting their eyes checked on a Saturday morning and possibly needing new glasses. This was around 10:00. I will most likely get my glasses elsewhere because of this.
Overall experience was good.
