Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider.
I have always been passionate about helping others. As a provider, I want to educate patients so they feel empowered managing their health. Not all patients are medical professionals, so I work to explain health conditions in ways they understand. I encourage questions and reaching out if something isn’t clear. Knowledge is key to achieving the best health.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, considering physical and behavioral health?
I see the primary care provider as a quarterback or part of a board of directors—you, the patient, have the final say, but many are involved in decisions. The provider helps navigate routine screenings, health promotion, disease prevention, chronic condition management, specialist coordination, and acute care. It’s important to have a provider you feel comfortable with. I strive to be that person for my patients.
Tell us a little about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, including three active sons, two lively dogs, and a large extended family!
