Megan is double board certified as both a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition. She graduated with her Master of Science in Human Nutrition from The University of Alabama and her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from The University of Mississippi. She completed her dietetic internship from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Megan has been practicing as a Registered Dietitian for 5 years. The first 2 years of her career as a dietitian, she specialized in meal planning, menu building, and nutrition education material development. She has dedicated the last 3 years to improving the lives of her clients who have kidney disease by helping them manage their diet, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and weight. A large portion of her graduate school studies was dedicated to infertility and maternal nutrition. What does all of this mean? That means that your nutrition counseling will be provided by a very well-rounded expert. Megan’s goal is for you to have clarity about your nutrition journey after every session. She wants to help improve your confidence when making food choices, equip you with the nutrition knowledge needed to improve your lab work, and encourage you to live a long, happy life undefined by disease. Megan is a married mom of two amazing kiddos and resides in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains with her family.
