Dr. Meghan Mitchell is a board certified dermatologist. She graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in Engineering. Dr. Mitchell served in the Navy teaching the basics of reactor physics to sailors. She then pursued her lifelong dream of a career in medicine. Returning to her hometown of Chapel Hill, NC, she earned her M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Mitchell completed her dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she and her family moved to the metro area, where she initially practiced with a local dermatology group before starting Rock Creek Dermatology. Dr. Mitchell values good communication and strives to provide excellent, compassionate dermatology care for the community. In her free time, Dr. Mitchell shuttles kids to sports practices, enjoys audiobooks and cooking. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
