Duane J Taylor, M.D., is the Medical Director of Le Visage ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery, LLC Dr Taylor is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University, completed an internship in General Surgery at the University of Texas, Houston, and a residency in Otolaryngology at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron Dr Taylor has over 30 years of clinical experience in the metropolitan Washington area From 2019 to 2020, he served as President of the 12,000-member American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), the largest specialty organization worldwide He has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as a Top Doctor; by the American Red Cross with the "Real Hero Award"; by Kaiser Permanente with the Art of Medicine Award; and by the Maryland General Assembly with the Montgomery County Community Service Award He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society Dr Taylor has been actively involved in community service through the Montgomery County Health Commission and Montgomery Cares Advisory Board He is dedicated to medical education, training residents and medical students from Georgetown and George Washington University His leadership roles include President of the Montgomery County Medical Society and serving on the boards of the Medical Society of DC, Mid Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, Medico-Chirurgical Society of DC, and as Region 2 Chair of the National Medical Association (NMA) He has delivered medical presentations nationally and internationally and contributed as editor and author of two books Dr Taylor has traveled extensively, including on humanitarian missions, and speaks French and Spanish He believes all patients should be treated as he or a family member would want to be treated.
