I loved this doctor! I was kind of upset about the wait, but then I realized it was all my fault because I booked this appointment with an Opthamoligist not a Optometrist. I am so very glad that I waited! I have many different medical problems, but having the county insurance that I have it is difficult to find a doctor who cares, who takes time to explain your problems and who helps with positive input toward feasible solutions.

Mehrdad M. Aghai, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Specializing in ocular trauma, Dr. Aghai has delivered several presentations and published numerous peer-reviewed articles. For his patients' benefit he has also kept abreast of developments in the field through continuing medical education (CME) courses in such wide-ranging subjects as corneal disease, retina, blepharoplasty and laser resurfacing.
After earning a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Aghai attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine for two years. He received his medical doctorate from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY in 1992.
Dr. Aghai then completed his internship at Los Angeles County-Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA, and a residency in Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College Hospital in New York.
In addition to his position as president and medical director of Century Eye Care, Dr. Aghai is Chief of Surgery at Memorial Hospital of Gardena (MHG) and a member of the Medical Executive Committee there.

The Dr was very nice but i waited 4 hours and then i asked other people how long they waited they said 6 or more WOW! then i told them i was gonna cancel and they took me right in and my exam took 15min for the Dr to then tell me i didnt have the right insurance to do the extensive test WOW not happy and the wait is ridiculous!

We waited for SIX HOURS to be seen for 10 minutes.
Things seemed to get better using the drops he prescribed... Until our follow up appointment where the issue was agitated.
We will be getting a second opinion.
