About Dr. David Kamen
David Kamen, M.D. has been the medical director at the Kamen Eye Surgery and Medical Center for the past 12 years. Dr. David Kamen is a very respected Beverly Hills eye surgeon who has performed more than 10,000 successful eye surgeries. He was chosen as the America’s Top Ophthalmologist in the area of cataract surgery by the independent Consumers’ Research council for 2004-2005.
After attending Brooklyn College for four years and being on the top of his class for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kamen received a full scholarship to attend medical school at State University of New York for four years where he got his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree. He then finished a year of internship in internal medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital and another three years in ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York.
After this he went to Miami in one of the busiest practices in the country for two more years of fellowship in the anterior segment surgery of the eye where he performed about 45 cataract, glaucoma, and cornea transplant surgeries per day.
Dr. Kamen is an active member of the medical staff and performs surgeries at the Olympia Medical Center and the Memorial Hospital of Gardena.
Dr. Kamen also speaks Farsi and Spanish.
