Dr. Pagette was born Melanie Rose Hendricks, and was reared in Austin. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School, and attended The University of Nevada-Reno for her undergraduate education. There she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Premedicine with a minor in Spanish. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Medical School. While in medical school she married Denis Pagette, who is from Quebec, Canada, in 1986. She then completed a residency program at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and had her two daughters, Christina and Caroline. The family moved to Florence, South Carolina where Dr. Pagette had a successful practice for 12 and a half years. She decided to move back to her home state of Texas in 2006. Her hobbies include: swimming, running, cooking and photography. Her family has a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs and assorted fish.
