Everyone was wonderful! The only tip I would say would be the woman who collects payments, she was not aware of my insurance and charged my card incorrectly (too much) before even asking. Other than that I loved the staff and service.

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Melanie Peeler completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in biology and a minor in psychology. She received one of two scholarships awarded each year to South Carolina residents to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree. She participated in four international missions with Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity (SVOSH), providing eye care to underserved areas in Honduras and Colombia. An officer in many organizations, she was also a member of Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa, honor societies for leadership and academic achievement.
After graduation, Dr. Peeler completed a primary eye care residency at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina, focusing on geriatrics, ocular disease, specialty contact lens fits, and low vision. She authored and co-authored several papers, posters, and presentations during her residency.
Dr. Peeler is a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, and Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and weight training, live music, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Dr. Peeler was great! I went for my lunch hour and informed the ladies at the front desk when I walked in. They pushed me to the top of the list and got me in and out within and hour. Everything was fast, professional and informative. I loved my visit. I will be going back for my annual eye exam.

The doctor was very nice, but the wait was too long. My appointment was at 9:30, I finally saw her at 10:40 for about 15 minutes. I think that is way too long to have to wait when you already had an appointment.
