Dr. Nickels is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine, in Portland, OR where she earned both the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) and Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (M.S.O.M.). She holds a B.A. in Physics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. She also completed a two-year training in homeopathy from the New England School of Homeopathy.

I have been to many N.D. & Acupuncturists over the years with O.K. results. Dr. Melinda Nickels is one of the most caring & compassionate care providers I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by. Without giving away all the problems I came in with she provided me a environment & place where I felt I could truly get the help & treatment I needed. DR. Nickels is my main provider & I take my whole family in. We love her & wouldn't ever go to anyone else. She gets 10 STARS & my book!

Dr. Nickels has been my acupuncturist and Naturopath since 2010. She has always provided me with a safe, warm environment, a compassionate ear, and incredibly effective natural solutions to what ails me. She has helped me through chronic pain after a neck injury in a car accident, as well as problems associated with hormonal imbalance with her great knowledge of acupuncture, homeopathy and herbal medicine

Dr. Nickels takes time to listen and ask valuable questions, working as a team to find the ROOT cause of any symptoms. In most other doctors' offices, I feel rushed and given only so much time to focus on symptom, not what is causing it. Dr. Nickels ALWAYS allows for as much time as I need to come up with some of my own revelations. I'm about the patient being a part of the process & Dr. Nickels is exactly the doctor for me.

I love that no matter what hurts, aches or is stiff I always feel better after my appointment. My weekly visits keep my pain at a tolerable level and allow me to live my life.

Melinda Nickels has been helpful for my foot arthritis, both treating with acupunture and herbs. We've successfully avoided surgery & I can take walks again thanks to her! Melinda has also treated my various aches & colds when I bring them with my bad feet. She's flexible, responsive to my changing needs, & personable while maintaining her professionalism. The office & Brandy, the front desk person, are welcoming and comfortable.
