Melissa Schneider, MSN, FNP-C, has over a decade of experience in healthcare. She started her career as a telemetry nurse at a Planetree-Certified hospital in California where she learned how to incorporate healing touch massage therapy and aromatherapy into her nursing practice. After seeing how integrative health helped improve patient outcomes, it remained a staple of Mel’s nursing practice throughout her time as an RN in critical care and flight nursing.
While treating people with chronic health conditions, Mel had a gut feeling there was something missing. She strongly felt there had to be a better way to manage and prevent these crippling diseases and help people to feel better overall. This led her to study more about functional medicine, nutrient deficiencies, and hormone optimization. Mel earned her Master’s in Nursing at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated with honors.
As a family nurse practitioner, Mel works together with her patients in creating a customized plan to reach their personal health goals through hormone balance, gut health, and lifestyle adjustments. She believes her patients intuitively know their bodies and she wants to combine that intuition with her knowledge to achieve optimal wellness.
Melissa strives for her own balance through practicing yoga, hiking, and singing in her band.
