About Dr. Michael Davis

Michael Davis, MD, chose to become a pediatrician after observing patients in a children's hospital. As soon as the children were feeling better, they were in the halls playing and he loved seeing their resilience. Along with caring for children, building long-term relationships with his patients and their families is what he enjoys most about being a pediatrician. In his practice, Dr. Davis feels it’s important to provide evidence-based recommendations and treatments. “I provide information on the developmental stage of the child so parents can approach parenting knowing what is reasonable to expect,” he says. He places particular emphasis on nutrition, activity and reading. Dr. Davis is a board-certified pediatrician and earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital. Dr. Davis has special interest in preventive medicine, asthma and allergies. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Davis is an outdoor enthusiast who moved to the Rogue Valley for the abundance of recreational opportunities available. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, as well as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and backcountry skiing.
