Her valuable experiences include eye care for the whole family and in specialized contact lens fitting. Dr. Fikkert also participates in providing free eye exams to children through the local Communities in Schools program.
Dr. Fikkert has been described as easy-going, patient and friendly. She takes great pleasure in getting to know her patients and d developing relationships with their families. Dr. Fikkert joined NASA Vision Center after practicing with Dr. Kevin Katz for 5 years in Galveston.
Dr. Fikkert's hobbies include tennis and photography. She is active in her local church where she enjoys teaching Sunday School to young children. Dr. Fikkert has been married to her college sweetheart, Diederik for over 22 years. They have 3 children and live in league City.

Dr.Fikkert and her staff were incredibly polite and professional. I felt at ease through my whole appointment and she seemed very happy to explain everything we were looking at very thoroughly. I am pleased with the experience and would completely recommend her to everyone I know.
