Meredith Bergman, MD is a board certified psychiatrist offering an integrative and dynamic approach to mental health treatment utilizing functional medicine, emerging technologies, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. Dr. Bergman graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College, received a MSc in Integrative Bioscience at Oxford University and a BS in Mathematics from New York University. Dr. Bergman also studied Eastern medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and psychodynamic psychotherapy through the Psychoanalytic Association of New York and the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She is published in the areas of psychosomatic medicine, psychotherapy and integrative mental health.
Prior to joining Helios Wellness, Dr. Bergman founded Mindful Psychiatry, a holistic psychiatry practice based in New York City. She was formerly a psychiatrist at the New York University Medical Student Health Service, where she treated fellow physicians and psychiatrists. It was treating the most acute cases of mental illness and addiction, that Dr. Bergman was inspired to incorporate mind-body practices for long term healing and recovery.
In partnership with each patient, Dr. Bergman curates a personalized, evidence-based and interdisciplinary treatment protocol, making decisions together with intention and compassion.
