Dr. Umoren received his bachelor's degree from Columbus State University and his master's degree in Health Administration from Walden University. He then earned his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University. After this, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Union Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Umoren has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Association of Black Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists.
