Dr. Song was very friendly and relaxed. It felt like your best friend was coming in to help you out. I went for my annual checkup and it was quick and easy. She gave me some recommendations on other doctors to see since I'm new to Chicago. Really enjoyed the whole experience at The Association for Women's Health Care.

While Dr. Song is a fantastic physician, I was extremely disappointed with her office staff. As of last week, the office stopped accepting my health insurance carrier and I did not find out until I arrived at my appointment. I was very shocked to find out that not only could I not attend my appointment, but that I was also not being offered any alternatives.

I like the doctor and the office is large, easy to access, and spacious. But I always end up waiting at least 30 mins before my appointment actually begins. I get there, fill out paperwork right away, do any samples I need. After a brief wait, I have the preliminary blood pressure/weight taken, then get seated in the office and end up staying there for 20-30 or so mins...I'm always rushed to get back to work.

Overall, it was ok. I found her a bit judgy, which isn't want you want in a gyno. She refused to give me the birth control I wanted because of my blood pressure, but then never provided me instructions on how to move forward. Also, never called with my pap results. I feel pretty meh about her.

I was not a fan of Dr. Song's bedside manner. I didn't get the impression that she was listening when I spoke, which was confirmed by her frustration at my not wanting to take whichever birth control pills she happened to have from her pharma rep at that moment.

Dr. Song was very nice and conversational. The staff at the office was very mechanic and not very warm. The space is shared by many other practitioners, so I get a sense that they're used to just trying to get people moving along. I felt everything was rather quick and didn't feel like I could ask more questions.
